Uniboard’s MDF receives USDA Certified Biopreferred product certification
Uniboard Canada announced that it has earned the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Certified Biobased Product Label for Uniboard Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF), as well as its Thermally Fused Laminate (TFL) and Particleboard. The first North American manufacturer of decorative surfaces to obtain this certification.
Uniboard's certified products contain a high percentage of renewable, biobased materials, contributing to a more sustainable industry while maintaining the superior performance that designers, manufacturers, and distributors expect.
The USDA Certified Biobased Product Label provides third-party verification of a product’s renewable content, ensuring greater transparency and trust in the marketplace.
The Uniboard Medium Density Fiberboard and other certified products can now display a unique USDA label that highlights their percentage of biobased content. Third-party verification for a product's biobased content is administered through the USDA BioPreferred Program, which strives to increase the development, purchase, and use of biobased products.
