Southeastern Timber Products plans to invest over $120 million in expanding its Ackerman, Mississippi, facility, increasing production from 120 million board feet to 300 million board feet annually. The expansion includes a new sawmill line, dry kilns, and storage facilities, with support from state tax incentives and Choctaw County assistance, according to the Mississippi Development Authority.

This follows a $150 million investment announced in July 2022 by Southeastern Timber Products and its partner, Tolko Industries, to increase capacity to 250 million board feet by early 2024. The company, which has operated since 1972, specializes in southern yellow pine lumber, timber, and decking products.
