Göran Björkman new Chairman of the Industrial Cooperation Committee
SKGS is a collaboration between four industry organisations, including the Swedish Forest Industries Federation, which works with the energy issues of the Swedish basic industry. Göran Björkman has been elected as the new Chairman.
In addition to the Swedish Forest Industries Federation, the SKGS collaboration also includes IKEM - Innovation and Chemical Industries in Sweden, Svemin and Jernkontoret. The mission is to work together with Sweden's basic industries to enable electrification and the climate transition.
Göran Björkman is CEO of the special steel company Alleima, a global manufacturer of high-value products in advanced stainless steel.
Han ser nu fram emot att arbeta för att säkerställa ett leveranssäkert elsystem till svensk exportindustri, exempelvis skogsindustrin.
– För att säkerställa att industriell innovation och produktion förblir stark i Sverige, måste både elnät och elproduktion byggas ut i snabb takt. Klimat- och samhällsnyttan av ett robust elsystem värderas högt idag. Reglering och utveckling av den nordiska elmarknaden får inte ske på bekostnad av svenska elanvändare. Jag ser fram emot att arbeta med energifrågor och en gemensam agenda inom SKGS-samarbetet, säger Göran Björkman i ett pressmeddelande.
